Hamid Has Been Released

Hamid is a 21 years-old gay man from Iran who was arrested on July 18, 2007 by the police in Paris and was at risk of deportation to Iran. (More information: http://www.irqo.net/IRQO/English/pages/075.htm)

Hamid has been released from the detention room on July 28, 2007; he could apply for his refugee status once more.

IRQO has been following up Hamid’s case and will be trying it’s best to see France grants him refugee statutes.

Also, IRQO would like to take this opportunity to expresses gratitude to ACT UP Paris and CIMADE and all of the organizations and the individuals who helped and supported us in our efforts in regards to Hamid’s deportation.
