Update on Pegah (August 27, 07)

August 27, 2007

This is a key decision making time for the authorities in Britain. We understand that Pegah is not due to fly out of London on Tuesday 28 August as previously thought - but Tuesday does look like being a crucial  decision making day. If we are not able to secure leave to go back to the Court of Appeal  it is possible that Removal Directions will be re-set and served on  Pegah at any time following Tuesday, giving her 72 hours notice of a  new flight out of Britain.

Of course, we hope that with all the efforts we are making in the legal process and the incredible support of people around the world, especially in fellow EU country Italy, that we will not be faced with  this situation. In the meantime we would ask that no-one akes specific representations to British Airways at the moment.

Thank you

Update on Pegah (August 24, 07)

Pegah now has some excellent legal representation.  She has a very able solicitor and her barrister comes from the chambers of one of  the leading human rights and civil liberties advocates in the UK.  We  believe Pegah now has the best legal team we could hope for.
Representations will be made by her lawyers and her MP, Richard Caborn to the Border and Immigration Agency on Tuesday 28th August.
We are very grateful for the huge upsurge of support for Pegah from around the world.  Many, many thanks to you all.  Pegah's situation is still very precarious so please keep up the good work.
