Recently a gay man from Iran applying for refugee status in Belgium and an Iranian gay couple applying for refugee status in France for persecution on the grounds of sexual orientation in their home country has been recognised as a refugee.

PGLO is thankful to all those people who have supported them especially Human Rights Watch, WISH (Belgian workgroup international gay solidarity) and Mr. Albert Kozyns from Belgium.

Earlier another gay Iranians were granted the status of refugee too.

We are grateful to the Belgian and France authorities that they take in consideration the terrible violations of human rights of homosexual people in Iran.
